3 – Kodelic vineyard cottage
You will earn a view with a climb to the Kodelič vineyard cottage, a cultural heritage monument, which, according to folk tradition, hides a real treasure that was hidden from the Turks in a well.

7 – Vila Holt mansion
The once mighty two-storey mansion stands on the side off the road bellow the vineyards and is an example of a well-preserved, ambitiously designed 19th-century viticultural architecture.

8 – Peter Dajnko’s house of birth
The Slovenian linguist, poet and writer Peter Dajnko tried to establish the East Styrian dialect in Slovene literature and the style of writing “dajnčica” named after him. A Commemorative plaque is attached in front of the house, which has preserved its original appearance. The habitable area of the house holds an exhibition of a preserved ethnological collection of old tools and a decorated memorial room.

9 – The Negova Lake
In the past, there were 14 larger and smaller ponds near the village of Negova and the Negova Castle. These played a defending role at the time of the Great Turkish Invasions. Today, only three of the original ponds remain; two smaller ones just below the Castle – The Gosijak Pond and The Klokec Pond, and one larger one, now called The Negova Lake, which was the centre of events in the past.

10 – The Negova Castle
The Negova Castle area has been declared a cultural monument of national importance. The Manor House hosts a Tourist Information Centre in the courtyard, where visitors can enjoy the view of the castle. The youngest will be happy to peek into the interesting herbal park, and throughout the year, the castle also hosts exhibitions of well-established Slovene and foreign masters of photography and art.

11 – Mineral water springs
The valley of the river Šcavnica and its surroundings are rich in natural mineral water springs. At well-kept areas, it is possible to taste pure natural mineral water from a natural spring

12 – Anton Trstenjak’s homestead
Near the bike trail stands the homestead of the Slovenian philosopher, anthropologist, psychologist, and theologian Anton Trstenjak, where you can see a beautifully decorated memorial room.

13 – The mofettes Strmec
The mofettes Strmec are located on both sides of the road that connects the settlement Stavešinci and the settlement Ivanjševci along the river Šcavnica. A mofetta is a volcanic discharge consisting chiefly of carbon dioxide, water vapor and other gases representing the final phase of volcanic activity. The mofettes Strmec are a unique example in Slovenia and are a natural heritage of national importance.

14 – The mofettes Stavešinske Slepice
The mofettes Stavešinske Slepice near the village Ivanjševci are the best approximation of volcanic activity in Slovenia, which only a few people know about and that is what makes them so special.

15 – Untouched by Light
The trail takes us past the estate Ajda, where you will see vineyards that produce grapes for a very special sparkling wine – the first sparkling wine in the world that is produced and bottled in complete darkness and untouched by light. Radgonske gorice launched this special sparkling wine in October 2020 in a limited quantity of 2,000 bottles, thus, drawing attention to the real problem of the influence of light on the taste of wines and sparkling wines.

16 – The oldest vine – Gewürztraminer
When you cycle past the most beautiful vineyards on the hill Janžev Vrh, you will pass the oldest vine from 1952, which contributes grapes every year for the extremely popular and recognized bottle of Gewürztraminer with a black label.

17 – The Church of St. Mary Magdalene
Kapelski Vrh is a settlement along the ridge and one of the most popular excursion points with vineyards and plantations of peaches, apples, and currants. At the highest point stands the parish Church of St. Mary Magdalene.

18 – Wine fountain
In addition to the viewpoint, from where you can also see Croatia, Hungary, Austria, and the Pohorje Mountains in good weather, you can enjoy the wine fountain with wines of local producers.

When you are standing in the courtyard of the Negova Castle you feel like you have returned the past. Then, only a few minutes later you can refresh yourself with real mineral water from the mineral water spring in Ivanjševci and, furthermore, discover mofettas – a rare natural landmark in the shelter of the forest. After a pleasant ride along the nearby ridges, a view of the Church of St. Mary Magdalene awaits us, where we will get off our bikes for a moment and approach the next landmark – the wine fountain at Kapela. Through the town of Radenci and the village Boračeva, the trail takes us along the path of history. We will admire the former Hudrga manor house and the Villa Holt mansion, and learn about the old architecture from the Pomurje region at Peter Dajnko’s house of birth.
